ABOUT ME

My interest in Art and Photography started in high school, where I studied various media. Though, I decided to major in Engineering, my interest in art continued. I studied art, as an elective, while I pursued my engineering degree. That interest in art and photography continues today, with visits to various art museums and galleries , no only in New England area , but wherever I travel.

My ability to visualize concepts and attention to detail were a tremendous asset during my career in Engineering. Involved with computer aided design from the birth of that technology, I have developed the ability to replicate what I have visualized in mind to what is reflected onto a screen and then to print.

I am self taught in the use of Dreamweaver, Fireworks, Photoshop and Lightroom. The blending of my interest in art and photography, together with these and my other computer skills, has resulted in this blog.

I am particularly drawn to the creative possibilities, that are available with the use of Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Lightroom. Trying out newly found techniques, the trial and error and experimenting with my own techniques have many similarities to my days as an engineer.

It has been a journey of learning that has kept me occupied, challenged and looking at my surroundings from a new perspective.

My ultimate goal is to improve my photography to the point that others maybe interested in my works.

ABOUT THIS BLOG

This is an experiment on my part. The intent is to display the beauty and history of New England and Boston’s North Shore and maybe other places that I have visited, presented through my Photography.

I will also include links and comments about various techniques that I have discovered in my journey to become a better photographer and tips I have learned for improving my image processing. I’m really not sure how it will “develop”.

Additionally, it is my plan to provide insight into local history along with the information about the image.
