Scott Kelby, President of the National Association of Photoshop Professionals – NAPP, is one of my favorite photography and photoshop writers/instructors.
I try to check out his blog and NAPP website almost everyday. (Note: As member of NAPP, I also have a portfolio on the NAPP website – portfolio link.)
Well, a couple of weeks ago, Scott was apparently vacationing in Maine and posted a couple of images of the Portland Head Lighthouse on his blog.
Since, I’m only a little over an hour away from Portland, I decided to drive up and see if I could match Scott’s capture.

About Portland Head Lighthouse -Portland Head Lighthouse is located in Cape Elizabeth Maine and is accessible via Fort Williams Park.
In 1787, the General Court of Massachusetts , (Maine was then part of Massachusetts) approved the construction of a lighthouse.
Portland Head Light came under the jurisdiction of the the United States Government in 1790. The lantern of Portland Head Light was first lit, January 10, 1791.

A great spot to visit, picnic, enjoy the seashore and also close to Portland, where you will find many fine shops and restaurants.
