Previewing a Framed Print using Adobe Lightroom

Published by Peter at 1:10 pm under Lightroom Presets, Techniques

It takes some effort to print, prepare a mat and then frame an image.

At times you may not be quite certain as to how a particular image may present itself framed. At times there may not be a mat and frame on hand to try.

What I have done, is created a Adobe Lightroom Print Module Preset that will allow you to simulate what your image might look like in a Black Gallery Frame.

LR Frame Viewer Preset

This preset uses the Identity Plate in a similar fashion as the previously released Calendar presets.

This particular presets is to virtually display how an 8 x10 inch image may present itself in a Black Gallery Frame with a 11×14 mat.

The preset is offered in both Landscape and portrait orientations.

Download here - 11 x 14 Inch Series Black Gallery Frame Preset Download

Note: If you have an image that would overflow an 8 x10 space and you want to reposition.

Toggle ON the render behind image option as shown -

Toogle On

Once satisfied, toggle the Render behind image option OFF as shown -

NOTE: May not be compatible with Apple Systems

I am finishing up on the following for my own use ( These are in inches and I apologize to the European/Metric size readers). I may make them available if there is any interest. Let me know.

As always, interested in your comments and feedback. Thanks for visiting Camera’s View and have a great weekend.

I would love to see the frame preset in different size but more of the traditional sizes that most people use for picture and mat…8X10 in 11X14 Frame…etc.

Hi! I’m using a Mac and have not been able to download your wonderful presets. Any word yet on how they can be made compatable with Mac computers?
    Thanks - Ray Kozma
