It was sunset, about two hours before the start of the Patriots Playoff game with Jacksonville, I was in Rye New Hampshire heading back to Massachusetts to get ready to watch the Pats. When I was presented with this scene…
Was it an omen of what was to be ? You Decide.

Good Day for a Picnic or an Ice Cream ?
Posted by Peter in Google Earth Locator Link, New Hampshire on December 23rd, 2007
Wolfeboro, New Hampshire on Saturday Afternoon, it was cloudy and late in the afternoon. Though cloudy, the snow was still pretty bright and probably not the best conditions for making an image. However, a couple of possibilities did catch my eye.
I was not carrying my camera bag and only had my 50mm lens.
While waiting for my better half to eventually come out of a nearby gift shop, I walked down by the lake. The contrast between the white-white snow and the blue picnic table, complemented by the dry oak tree leaves, caught my camera’s view.
Settings – ISO 100 with 50mm lens set at f/3.2 at 1/200 sec , no filters.
Not a good day for a picnic !
…. and a little while later ( and much darker and still waiting) …… Though they appeared a little cold and somewhat stiff, an older man and a child seem to be enjoying a Ice Cream from Bailey’s Bubble .
Settings – ISO 400 with 50mm lens set at f/3.5 at 1/320 sec , no filters.

This image was taken on May 12th at Robert’s Cove in Alton NH, just outside of Wolfeboro NH. If you want to relax and enjoy Lake Winnipesaukee, there is no better place than Wolfeboro, “The Oldest Summer Resort in America”.
